I deleted my removable media device – can I recover my license?

Your license will be automatically recovered once you reinstall EncryptUSB software onto your drive. See: How do I install EncryptUSB?

What if I erase my trial installation?

You can always reinstall EncryptUSB software from here and continue with your trial NOTE: On the same device you will be able to use the trial version for 30 days only and will need to buy it after the 30-day FREE TRIAL is up.

I lost my removable media device – can I use my license on a new removable media device?

No. Sorry. EncryptUSB licenses are not transferable. One device per unique license only. EncryptUSB uses a Unique Device Identifier (UDI).

If I purchase a one-year extension, do I lose my 30-day trial?

No. One year will be added to the remaining days of your trial period.

How do I know if EncryptUSB is working properly?

You should be able to see EncryptUSB icon in the Windows notification area (system tray).

Do I need access to the Windows administrator account on my computer to use an EncryptUSB device on it?

No, you don’t.

I can’t find EncryptUSB software on my drive.

Most likely you accidentally deleted EncryptUSB application from the drive, but don’t worry – you can download it again from here.

What Version do I have?

A ToolTip (mouse-over) on the EncryptUSB icon in the Windows notification area displays the version number.
