How to provide a simple and inexpensive mechanism to automatically record and restore contact information in case a phone is lost or stolen.

This charger (or charging cable) has the ability to charge a cell phone and backup contact information concurrently. The incremental cost over a simple charger is nominal and provides the user with the ability to perform automatic backups. If the phone is lost, all phone numbers can be restored to a new phone.

The FlashBack solution synchronizes personal information while the phone is charging. There is no problem with changing phone brands or models. Previously stored contacts and other content can be easily transferred to a newly upgraded phone.
