DataMouseTM
Problem:
How to create regular and automatic backups of critical information.
Solution:
A DataMouse consists of a input device, such as a mouse, and mass storage. The integrated device assures
that backups are done on a
regular basis as a mouse has computer connection any time it's in use. Variations of the DataMouse include:
- Fixed internal memory
- Removable memory
- Locking mechanism to protect drive content
- Various types in input mechanisms (e.g. track balls, mice, keypads, etc)
A backup application operates in the background to perform synchronization operations.
Done at regular intervals, all backup files are kept current.
An integrated solution will automate the process of backing up computer data and minimize
the number of gadgets one needs to have/carry. Backups become automatic (as mice are always connected)
and increase the chances of computer and backup being synchronized.
It provides an opportunity for manufacturers to differentiate, gain market share, and capture better margins.
